S&S
And so it begins. I have ordered the T111 with a Super G carb today at an Independent shop. Also ordered Cometic gasket kit for primary and shifter shaft seal.
I might actually have a chance to ride my bike later this year. I tried to buy the S&S engine at a Harley dealership but they just had the deer in the headlights look. Found a small Indy dealer about 20 miles from my house and they have 95% bike parts and only 5% t-shirts. This might be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

Let us know how it goes I am curious. Can you order directly from S&S or do you have to go through a dealer? Whats the shipping?

S&S
The indy gave me $100 off the sales price from the S&S website. Shipping was included with the sales price. I will let you know how it goes.
I called S&S and I had to order from a dealer. No direct sales. Hopefully you have a good dealer near you if you decide to buy one. I have had good luck with Kutter Harley but that was several years ago.
I will post the progress as I install the engine and convert to carb. My goal it to have it running for the Lathem/ Longs Retreat gathering. If it isn't together by then I will borrow my friend night train. My dad said I could ride his Yamaha Stratoliner but that is not going to happen.

I am curious to find out what is included and what needs to be done. Does it have MAP and CPK? There $45 each, if not included, maybe just buy new, start fresh. Coil?
It comes with an ignition, I thought. So need to get fuel, spark, and oil to it.
Engine mount? I bought a Velva ride last year, American made, Harleys are made in China. Though you could reuse yours.
Check your oil pan gasket. I changed mine last year, with the tranny in the bike, and it was a bugger.
Got to be chumping at the bit.

If it is a Drag item, you could have called Jenni at Tri-County and gotten 20% off.
Hope you get it done by Latham.
